The 82nd Annual Academy Awards Oscars Ceremony Takes Place March 7th – What Time Do the Oscars Start?

The Oscars ceremony takes place on Sunday March 7th and the start time is 5pm PT or 8pm ET and your local ABC channel will be hosting the show. Check your local TV listings for the exact channel.

The coverage starts with the red carpet where viewers will get a chance to see all their favorite stars walk the carpet and viewers can see who their dates are, and most importantly what everyone is wearing.

After the red carpet the Oscar Ceremony will start and this year it seems to be anyones’ guess as to who will win the Best Picture award, especially since there are 10 pictures up for Best Picture this year.

Also making things interesting this year is the battle for the Best Director award between James Cameron and his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow. James Cameron directed the blockbuster Avatar, while Kathryn Bigelow directed what some call ‘the underdog’, The Hurt Locker.

The 82nd Academy Awards are being hosted by two hosts this year, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. With a show that can run up to four hours, the role of the host is very important and it is hoped that two entertainers will in fact be better than one.

For a full list of nominations, check the Academy Awards website, but who do you think is going to win at the Oscars this year? Will it be Avatar? Or Hurt Locker? Sandra Bullock? Morgan Freeman?

Check out the Oscars 2010 ceremony on Sunday March 7th starting at 5pm PT to find out.

  3. I Like this site your article is very nice , Thanks, very interesting article, keep up it coming :)

  4. I’m sure I’m not in the minority by any means, but I do intend to improve. I suppose my main problem is that I find large numbers of comments overwhelming, I can honestly say that I’ve skipped reading entries at friends’ blogs, just because there’s already ninety comments on it, and I a) don’t want to get lost in the shuffle, or worse b) don’t want to be obligated to spew out forty comments of my own.

  5. When I decided to pay a premium price for a 3D blockbuster I expected a memorable picture. Besides the fact that Johnny Deep plays a great role as usual and H.B. Carter also has a nice performance the overall plot is dull and static. I believe that because they had to “improvise” and write a new story continuing the original one, the quality of the screenplay and plot decreased significantly. Although there are some funny moments and well written lines for the main characters, many of the others pass by unnoticed. Overall it was a nice, entertaining flick with average 3D effects, way below Avatar, and a simple, uncomplicated plot. Also it was rather short since I expected 120 minutes at least and not 100. Finally I would this movie performed below my expectations. A 7/10 would be a fair grade in my honest opinion.
