Maurice Clarett Re-enters The State Ohio:After three and a half years in prison, former football star returns to Columbus – but not on the football field.
AP reports that Ohio State gave Clarett re-entry to its College of Education and Human Ecology – a program that initially he did in 2002. This year proved to Clarett in the past the university, where he helped the Buckeyes to the national championship, before the suspension of the program for filing a false statement to the police.
Notwithstanding the obstacles, Ohio State, Clarett won doubters temporarily. He came out in 2005 NFL draft committee in one day, going to the Denver Broncos in the third round, when many slits his sixth qualifying round at best. But even more trouble with the law, all the running back never could snap on the field.
Columbus Dispatch writes that Clarett initially got seven and a half years of execution on charges of aggravated robbery and carrying a weapon. Clarett took lessons during his imprisonment, and even runs a blog to help others grow their sins.
This has lead to an early release, in April 2010, if the report indicates that the sending Clarett told the judge about his plans to finish college and degree work gym for older people. With the blessing of Ohio, step 1 is off and running.
