Second suspect sought
“We are working on the possibility of the second suspect,” said UT Police Chief Robert Dahlstrom, according to ABC News. “We’re trying to eliminate that opportunity.”

As a statesman Blotter reports:

Authorities said in a press conference shortly before 11 am that they are working to eliminate the possibility of the second suspect. They were concerned about the threat of the second suspect on the basis of various descriptions. “We will work through all the leads,” UT Police Chief Robert Dahlstrom said. Officials said, SWAT officers involved in the search and that the dogs trained to sniff explosives are also involved as a precaution.

FortBendNow has a description of a possible second suspect:

UT professor Randall Wilhite said he saw the shooter running through the campus, as it comes shortly after 8 am Wilhite described the man as about 6 feet, 2 inches, Caucasian, wearing a dark suit and black tie. The suspect carried a rifle and wearing ski masks.

Wilhite said he heard shots and saw students scrambling. He then saw the suspect running towards the library.

“He was just shooting randomly,” Wilhite said.

Local live blog from the old dials were unconfirmed reports of a visual description of the second bandit:

Gunman could wear a tuxedo. Unconfirmed.

No one knows that a second gunman is. More and more people saying that he was wearing a black shirt and cap. Other people say that he wears a ski mask and a tuxedo. Still not clear that a second gunman is.

The second gunman barricaded in Calhoun called [Ed: Hall University]. Not confirmed. Stay safe.

Police say the second suspect rifle, he wears a Blue Jean, and a black shirt with a black cap.

Nobody Else was not injured

“We do not have any report of anyone being shot at this point,” University Representative Don Hale said, according to the Statesman Blotter. Employees of University Medical Center Brackenridge stated that they had not received any patients.

Text-Message/E-Mail warning system seems to have worked

When the first armed suspect was spotted on campus shortly after 8:00 am, university administrators rushed to send email and text alerts students and teachers to stay away. Austin NBC News affiliate KXAN is a list of them:

“Armed with the subject reported last seen at the Perry Castaneda Library on 9/28/2010. Details to follow.”

E-mail at 8:57 am
“At this time, UT Alert sent a message to the armed subject near the Perry Castaneda Library. Details to follow. UTPD said housing and meals to go into full lock, and for the residents and staff at the shelter in effect until further notice.”

Text at 8:58 am
“Again, an armed subject reported in the Perry Castaneda Library. Shelter in place. Stay where you are. More information to follow.”

In order to keep you informed of the current emergency, I want you to know that the campus remains locked. All students, faculty, staff and visitors should stay home and continue to follow the instructions (from the speakers, e-mail, text messages and uniformed police officers). You will be notified when the situation becomes stable.

Armed suspect dead. No other injuries were reported.

“The university is closed. Suspected shooter in the library PCL dead. Law enforcement officers are looking for second suspect. If you are off campus, stay away. If you are on campus, lock doors, do not leave your building.” The road is closed in the San Jacinto and Martin Luther King Blvd. Capital Metro has suspended bus services in and around the campus in connection with the incident. It was the second shooting at UT, the first tower sniper

First, far from fatal one occurred in 1966 when ex-Marine and architectural engineering student, Charles Whitman, 25, killed his wife and mother before installing the observation tower on the 29 th floor of an office building and shoot 47 people, killing 16 and wounding 31, making it the deadliest school shooting of the country to Virginia massacre in 2007.

Buju Banton Trial Update Video:Reggae star Buju Banton (born Mark Myrie) awaits sentencing in drug and firearms trial. Buju Banton was arrested at his home Florida in December 2009 while trying to buy cocaine from undercover police officers. Jamaica Observer promises to update as soon as the sentence is checked.

Buju Banton on trial for intent to purchase and distribution of cocaine and possession of illegal firearms.

Benton defendants, Ian Thomas and James Mack, is pleading guilty.

Buju Banton, taking the stand during the trial, said that he had no intention of selling cocaine, and only talk about it to impress a new friend.

Maurice Clarett Re-enters The State Ohio

Maurice Clarett Re-enters The State Ohio:After three and a half years in prison, former football star returns to Columbus – but not on the football field.

AP reports that Ohio State gave Clarett re-entry to its College of Education and Human Ecology – a program that initially he did in 2002. This year proved to Clarett in the past the university, where he helped the Buckeyes to the national championship, before the suspension of the program for filing a false statement to the police.

Notwithstanding the obstacles, Ohio State, Clarett won doubters temporarily. He came out in 2005 NFL draft committee in one day, going to the Denver Broncos in the third round, when many slits his sixth qualifying round at best. But even more trouble with the law, all the running back never could snap on the field.

Columbus Dispatch
writes that Clarett initially got seven and a half years of execution on charges of aggravated robbery and carrying a weapon. Clarett took lessons during his imprisonment, and even runs a blog to help others grow their sins.

This has lead to an early release, in April 2010, if the report indicates that the sending Clarett told the judge about his plans to finish college and degree work gym for older people. With the blessing of Ohio, step 1 is off and running.
