Lawrence Wilson
Lawrence Wilson is another promising player of football game who can be rendered as the future of the sport. Despite of all ups and downs he faced in his, so far, short career, he is pretty much determined to make his name in the sport. He is considered one of the most furious prospects. Nothing really is the problem wit the guy except his fate that is not so much good and this word is enough to declare him as an unlucky person. See, he started his last two seasons with aggression and passion but what was the result of all that passion, two injuries, that made him to skip the tournament for two times. And that were not any normal kind of injuries. His injuries included broken leg and a torn ACL. His broken leg forced him to receive a steel rod in leg while injured ACL was enough to through him out of the tournament. However, he himself is very hardworking and optimistic.
The Ohio state defensive is included in the 2010 Lott Trophy Watch List which means that he has pretty much chances of winning that award too. The names were announced on 16th April at Newport Beach by Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation and Ronnie Lott. The winner of Lott Trophy will have $25,000 and runner-up have $5,000.
Wilson’s head coach Jim Tressel is very happy on having such a player in his team and he is sure that this guy will definitely do something extraordinary for the team in future.
Ohio State defensive end Lawrence Wilson (6-4, 272) made a visit to Halas Hall this week, according to a source. Wilson is projected as a late-round pick or could sign as an undrafted free agent.
keep an eye on Lawrence Wilson – Once considered a ferocious defensive end prospect, Wilson’s career has been derailed by season-ending injuries each of the last two years. A broken leg that required a steel rod and a torn ACL has revamped Wilson’s ability, but he looked like his old self against the Illini when he tipped a pass into the air and intercepted it.
A year ago, this was a much easier list to make. Starting with Beanie Wells, Malcolm Jenkins and James Laurinaitis and running through veterans like Marcus Freeman, Brian Robiskie, Brian Hartline, Donald Washington, Alex Boone, etc., you had a pretty good idea who were the best players in scarlet and gray.
The Akron native — expected to be one of the pillars of the defense — broke his right leg midway through the second quarter on a backfield pileup. With the junior writhing in pain, doctors applied an air cast and carted him off the field.
As it relates to the running game, head coach Jim Tressel is fond of saying that a team needs “a pair and a spare.” Ohio State has accomplished that feat with its recruiting—but will the Buckeyes be able to keep everyone happy
Injuries have hampered Wilson’s once-promising career. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the 2008 season and broke his right leg at the start of the ‘07 season. But Wilson checked out fine medically during his visit with the Bears.
